JUST IN: ASUU To call off strike as FG Agrees to Pay N70bn

 

The Striking lecturers governed by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) have agreed to call off the strike and resume academic activities.

They accepted to call off the eight-month old strike after the Federal Government increased its offer to the union to N70bn.

The decision followed a meeting with the government team led by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, in Abuja, on Friday.
